For over 18 years, we’ve looked after the technology for organisations across Aotearoa, so their people can focus on the work that matters. One team, honest advice, and a genuine stake in where you’re headed.
Our story is one of steady growth, trusted relationships and continuous evolution. We have changed as technology has changed, but our purpose has stayed the same: helping people and organisations move forward with confidence.
We are small enough to know you, but large enough to service your every need. Supporting organisations across New Zealand takes more than great technology. It takes a team of people who genuinely care about doing the right thing, for our clients and for each other. Hover over anyone to find out what they do.
Liam Brady
Director & Owner
Liam started IT Works in 2008 and has led it ever since. He works most closely with clients on security and technology direction, and he leads the company's SOC 2 certification programme. If an organisation is weighing up a significant technology decision, Liam is usually in that conversation.
Matt Petersen
Managing Director
Matt runs the business day to day and leads how we deliver for clients. He is behind most of our client agreements and service commitments, and he is straight with people about what is realistic and what is not.
Laura Brady
Senior Advisor - Support & Implementation
Laura works across support and implementation. She is often the person making sure a client's reporting, meeting cadence and service commitments actually happen, and she is heavily involved in our larger council and public sector accounts.
Jaco van Staden
Technical Manager
Jaco sets our technical direction. He has been with IT Works since 2018 and has around 19 years in IT, with deep experience across Microsoft cloud, network security and infrastructure. He also leads our SOC 2 programme and our supplier security assessments.
Paora Morrison
Operations Manager
Paora leads our operations. He joined IT Works in 2021 as a support engineer and worked his way up through team lead and operations centre manager. His focus is on how the team works: clear processes, accountability, and developing people rather than simply appointing them.
Darryl Gatward
Customer Experience Manager
Darryl looks after the client relationship side of the business. He runs our AI training programmes and workshops, and he is usually the first person clients talk to when they are thinking about what to do next rather than what to fix today.
Kieran Williams
Operations Centre Team Leader
Kieran leads the Operations Centre team. He also manages procurement, so when hardware is ordered for a client, Kieran is the one making sure it arrives when it should.
Donna Kiteos
Relationship Manager
Donna manages client relationships, with long standing connections across Wellington's professional and membership organisations. She has worked with some of our clients for years before they were our clients.
Sandy MacCormick
Finance and Office Manager
Sandy runs accounts and the office. Invoicing, supplier accounts and health and safety all sit with her, and she keeps the administrative side of the business moving.
Brandon Botha
Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Brandon works on infrastructure and networking, the parts of a client environment that need to be right before anything else works properly.
Mike Clifford
Infrastructure Engineer
Mike works across infrastructure and client projects, including office relocations, system migrations and onsite delivery. He covers a lot of ground, including our West Coast clients.
Cameron Brown
Senior Engineer
Cameron handles our weekly security and maintenance routines: patching, vulnerability checks, licensing and our voice platform. It is unglamorous work that stops small problems becoming big ones.
Nathan Adams
Field Engineer - Operations Centre
Nathan is out on the road most days handling onsite work: device rollouts, hardware issues and the things that need someone physically there.
Christine Albertson
Operations Centre Senior Engineer
Christine brings patience, organisation, and attention to detail to the Operations Centre team. Whether managing support requests, coordinating next steps, or keeping clients updated, Christine focuses on making every interaction clear, helpful, and stress-free.
John Paku
Operations Centre Engineer
John works in the Operations Centre on day to day support, including user onboarding and offboarding.
Stafford Norford
Operations Centre Engineer
Stafford is one of those people clients quietly rely on. He works across the Operations Centre resolving the technical issues that keep organisations running, and he does it without any fuss, just steady, quality work that people notice. When Stafford is on a job, you can trust it will be done properly.
Sam Freeman
Field Engineer - Operations Centre
Sam handles field work and our hardware lifecycle, from device deployment through to secure disposal at end of life.
It’s been number one on our list since day one. We built our reputation on showing clients how great service and attention to detail help a business thrive.
We make technology efficient and easy to use for everyone on your team: plain English, no jargon, no runaround.
We partner with our clients to guarantee mutual success. The best technology decisions come from years of understanding a business, not a one-off project.
Based in Lower Hutt and proud to be part of the community we serve, committed to organisations who share our values.
