How accessible this website is today, where it falls short, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
This website should be usable by everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or speech recognition. Accessibility is not something we finished and moved on from. It is work we keep at, and we would rather tell you honestly where we have got to than claim more than we can back up.
We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the level the New Zealand Government Web Accessibility Standard 1.2 has required of public sector agencies since March 2025.
Private businesses in New Zealand are not legally required to meet that standard. We use it anyway, because it is the clearest measure available and because the Human Rights Act 1993 makes access everyone’s responsibility.
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 at Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard and some parts do not yet.
We have not commissioned an independent audit. If we do, we will say so here and publish what it found.
Every page carries an accessibility toolbar. It lets you increase text size and line spacing, change text alignment, switch to a more readable typeface, adjust contrast or apply greyscale, highlight links, pause animations, hide images, turn on a reading mask, and view the page structure.
A toolbar helps, but it is not a substitute for building the site properly. We treat it as an addition, not the answer.
We are working through the image library so every meaningful image carries a useful description, extending automated checks across the whole site rather than a sample, and fixing what those checks surface. The review date below moves as that work lands.
If any part of this site blocks you, please tell us. Email solutions@itworks.co.nz or call 0800 448 967. Let us know the page and what happened, and we will come back to you within three to five working days.
If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we will provide it.
This statement was prepared on 30 July 2026 and describes the site as it stood on that date. We review it whenever we make significant changes to the site.
