This page shows the details our support team may ask for: your public internet address, your device and your browser. It runs entirely in your browser, and IT Works does not save or log anything shown here.

Not sure if the connection is the problem?

Slow systems, video call issues and cloud application delays are not always caused by your internet connection.

Run a quick speed test to gather useful information before contacting our team.

If you still need help, we’ll work with you to identify the cause and get things running smoothly again.

REMOTE SUPPORT

Let our team connect to your screen

When our support team asks you to start a remote session, click the button below to download the secure remote support tool. Run the file and read the ID and password to us over the phone. We can then see your screen and help directly. You stay in control the whole time and can end the session whenever you like.

BEFORE YOU CALL

A few quick things to try

  1. Restart the app or browser you are having trouble with, then try again.
  2. Check any cables are firmly connected, and restart your modem or router if the whole connection is down.
  3. Try a different browser or device to see whether the problem follows you or stays with one machine.
  4. Run the speed test above so you can tell us what your connection is doing.

GOOD TO KNOW

Finding your local network address

Browsers now hide your local network address for privacy, so this page often cannot display it. If our team needs it, it only takes a moment to find.

On Windows: right-click the Start button, choose Terminal or Command Prompt, type ipconfig and press Enter, then look for the IPv4 Address.

On a Mac: open System Settings, choose Network, then select your connection. The address is shown on that screen.

If anything here is unclear, our team will happily walk you through it: 0800 448 967.
